Beauty and the Beast

The casting ensemble for Disney’s live action BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is now complete and an official release date has also been revealed.

Joining Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast and Luke Evans as Gaston are Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts and Kevin Kline as Belle’s father, Maurice.

The film, which will be directed by Bill Condon from a screenplay by Stephen Chbosky, will see their vision arrive on the big screen March 17th, 2017.

The live action Disney films are becoming a popular occurrence after the recent success of CINDERELLA which has already grossed over $130 million worldwide on its opening weekend and they Disney will once again be looking to be achieve equal success with Kenneth Branagh‘s film, with its more modern take on the traditional story.

According to Disney’s press release for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, the film will feature the Academy Award-winning music from Alan Menken and Sir Tim Rice, whom will create new songs exclusively for the film.

We still have a while to wait until we see BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in all its glory, as it doesn’t arrive on the big screen until March 17th, 2017.
