Longhurst had this to say about the project, which has completed its’ first block of filming:
“With the first block of filming done on this new feature film, plus the promise of some more local investment, things just keep getting better. You couple this with the rerelease of our previous award winning film Lucas and Albert.
LUCAS AND ALBERT is available (now in colour) on Amazon Prime. RUKO and PlutoTV.
Things are starting to happen. This means that we can start filming again in the Tendring area of North Essex. Darren S Cook – the director of Lucas and Albert – is again at the helm for this film that is a sort of prequel to Lucas and Albert and the next film Babysitters.
A collection of short stories that are all connected by the subject matter a woven in the feature film that will be; Tales of the Underworld.
We have an impressive cast that not only includes faces from our previous film such as James Osborne and A.G.Longhurst, but also Michael McKell, Kim Taylforth, Sidney Livingstone, Sid Kean and Cassangra French. But new cast such as Tony Denham, Brendan Gibson, Mark Mooney and Raymond Nolan. We have also cast local talent such as Charlie Vaughan, Courtney Solomons, Simon Hipkin and Susan Regan. These go alongside other actors such as Steve Ward and David Biscoe who are also co-producing.
Also involved is local producer Dan Hugo and his production company Outline media. Darren S Cook – the director – and his company Scruffy Bear Media Productions, as well as Cherry Tree Media.
We have just been promised more investment which means we will start shooting again very soon.
This is an independent film and again we did not qualify for funding from any of the local or national organisations despite the award-winning success of our previous film.”
