Firstly, this AVENGERS: ENDGAME review is spoiler free – and it will come as no surprise to anyone to say that the movie is utterly brilliant; everything Marvel fans would want the film to be and more.

After 11 years and 22 feature-length movies, the final installment deserves the 181-minute running time; it needs the three-hour movie to tell the tale of the superheroes with the justice and time they all as individuals deserve. It doesn’t feel like three hours, you’ll be surprised at how quickly the time has passed by, just like the swiftness of the decade of movies the Marvel Universe have given us.

The film takes the audience through the best part of the MCU journey and it’s put so much emphasis on making the scenes emotional as well as packed with action, it leaves us wanting for nothing more. Anthony and Joe Russo have created the perfect ending to ten wonderful years and it’s hard to think of anything more that they could’ve done as it’s nothing short of perfect.

Avengers: Endgame

It picks up where we left off in INFINITY WAR with the aftermath of the snap at the hands of Thanos. The first quarter of the movie sees the heroes dealing with their grief and loss, and working out how to move on with their lives in one way or another and in some cases, not at all.

Marvel fans, you’ll laugh, cry, and cheer as your favourite superheroes team up to save the universe one more time. Each character has their time, their moment to shine and the biggest battle of their lives too.

Avengers: Endgame review

Yes, as you will have seen in the trailers, the original gang are reunited, but it’s for one cause only – to change the past and improve the future. As you can imagine, it all builds up to one immense, epic battle scene that will make your body pulse; your feet kick and even your hands will inadvertently start punching the air no matter how much you try to restrain yourself. It is a battle for the ages. It’s one that eclipses all other great scenes, even back to those epic duels in THE LORD OF THE RINGS. You’ll be sucked right into the journey, into their fight and it’ll feel like you’ve become part of it. You will feel every moment of happiness, devastation and relief.

It is hard to imagine any other film topping this blockbuster in terms of box office sales and quality filmmaking. From the cinematography right through to the score, every individual who has had a hand at making this movie, we salute you.

As for our dear Avengers, how do we even thank the cast members for their parts? Over the last ten years, they’ve been the true heroes: they’ve given everything to bring to life the heroes that little children right through to us big kids adore and admire. They’ve made their characters so utterly relatable and praiseworthy and as a result,  they’re very much a part of the lives of so many Marvel fans globally. As we’ve now reached the conclusion, without them, there’ll be a big, all-encompassing empty hole – that is the feeling that this movie will leave you with as you step out of the cinema.

Avengers: Endgame review

Even down to the very final scenes of the movie, the Avengers hold up a mirror to who we should be as a society with their “whatever it takes” attitude. As audience goers, the movie and the cast members in their roles deliver the message of sacrifice for others, love, hard work, determination and family. Messages we all need in life right now for our own real society.

Endgame is a powerful finale and it’s entirely deserving of all the adulation and commendation it has received: It’s a breathtaking and electrifying conclusion to a wonderful era.

There’s no other way to end our final review for an Avengers movie except to say – we love you three thousand. (If you’ve seen the film, you will know the weight of emotion that goes with those five simple words and my goodness do we mean it.)
