It seems Taika Waititi has got his sights set on another movie and this time it is an animation.  Deadline has reported that the director has signed onto 20th Century Fox’s animated version of comic strip hero Flash Gordon. 

There is no official confirmation of what his role is just yet in regards to whether or not he will be writing and directing the movie, but no doubt we will be hearing more information about his involvement shortly.

The director who latest movie THOR: RAGNAROK was a box office hot for Marvel definitely teased elements of at 1980s Flash Gordon vibe, so we can already imagine what to expect and more.

2019 looks to be a good year for the filmmaker, as he will also be in the director’s chair for the live-action AKIRA movie and will also be penning the script for TIME BANDITS, in which he will be in the director’s chair for. TIME BANDITS is a TV pilot show for the upcoming Apple TV+ channel.

If that amount of work isn’t making you feel tired, well his list of upcoming jobs on the New Zealander’s CV doesn’t stop there! He has completed the episode of Star Wars series THE MANDALORIAN he completed for Disney Plus and the upcoming WWII flick, JOJO RABBIT, which sees him making a starring role in  it too as Adolf Hitler. The movie is scheduled for release October 18th, 2019.
