Stop what you are doing, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have revealed a new image of Timothée Chalamet in the movie, DUNE. Check out the image below:

Dune

The movie is being brought to the big screen by Denis Villeneuve and the upcoming flick is the highly-anticipated adaptation of Frank Herbert’s DUNE. The film is not scheduled to arrive in cinemas until later this year – unless the current Coronavirus pandemic continues to cause further delays. All being well, the movie should arrive in cinemas on December 18th, 2020.

The new image has come from Empire Magazine, who in speaking to Villeneuve about his upcoming film, was able to record the director’s take on the film’s primary character. “Paul has been raised in a very strict environment with a lot of training, because he’s the son of a Duke and one day… he’s training to be the Duke, Villeneuve tells Empire. But as much as he’s been prepared and trained for that role, is it really what he dreams to be? That’s the contradiction of that character. It’s like Michael Corleone in The Godfather it’s someone that has a very tragic fate and he will become something that he was not wishing to become.”

Very little has been released about the film, as the production companies have been keeping us all in suspense, so it was great news to finally get a glimpse of Timothée Chalamet as the main protagonist of the story, Paul Atreides in the first-look image recently.

The film tells the story of the son of a noble family entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and most vital element in the galaxy.  There is a super cast starring in this one, with Rebecca Ferguson, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Dave Bautista, Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem and Oscar Isaac all on board.

In the debut image was can see Chalamet as the young hero walking along the shores of what could possibly be  his native planet of Caladan, with transport lurking in the background. Hopefully over the coming months, even more about the movie shall be revealed and we will be keeping our fingers firmly crossed that there will be no more cinematic delays.
