The artistic and creative idealism at the heart of the music video and short form promo has been raising its’ game for over forty years. From the dawn of MTV in 1981, through to Michael Jackson’s game-changing 14-minute featurette promoting THRILLER at the tail end of the album’s blockbuster 1983 release and beyond, video footage to promote songs will always heighten the commercial and global potential of an artist’s market value.

Alexandra Aristy‘s dazzling video accompanying SUNGAZER – which showcases the band Sub:Om is more or less a great example of what music videos are today.
The five-and-a-half minute video, filmed at the Brilliant Screen Studios in LA, echoes the likes of A-Ha‘s TAKE ON MENelly Furtado‘s TURN OFF THE LIGHT and U2‘s DISCOTHEQUE when the band take centre stage on screen.
The main story is slight – young lady is enticed by jewel where she faces her dream alter-ego whilst the band power out a catchy rock track that belongs in many stadia. However, enjoy and thrill with a great taster for what Aristy is capable of – a solid promo for the band itself.
