The Walk trailer

Prepare to be amazed. Or frightened. Or to have heart palpitations depending on how you feel about heights. The new trailer for THE WALK has landed.

The first trailer for the THE WALK may have give you vertigo even if you don’t have a problem with heights. Joseph Gordon-Levitt reaches new heights (with a new accent) as Philippe Petit – a French aerialist who famously and illegally walked a tight-rope between the Twin Towers in 1974.

The trailer opens with a breathtaking climb up 110 stories to the top of the World Trade Center where Gordon-Levitt balances against a 1970s New York skyline. While the first trailer was over two minutes long, it was barely more than a teaser, showing us very little of the actual film. Now we can finally see more of what to expect thanks to the new trailer, which gives us much more to see from very high up.

Robert Zemeckis directed the film that was shot specifically for 3D IMAX. Gordon-Levitt stars alongside Ben Kingsley, James Badge Dale, Ben Schwartz, Steve Valentine and Charlotte Le Bon.
