Jameson Empire Awards

The Jameson Empire Awards has revealed their shortlisted nominations for this year’s big movie bash and THE IMITATION GAME leads the nominations nods this year.

Benedict Cumberbatch stars in the Alan Turing biopic which is up for a total of six awards, closely followed by KINGSMAN: THE SECRET SERVICE, DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES with four nods each.

Battling it out for the Best Actor will be Benedict Cumberbatch, Andy Serkis and Richard Armitage alongside AMERICAN SNIPER’s Bradley Cooper and I’m-winning-every-award-going Eddie Redmayne who will be looking to add another accolade to his already impressive collection after an impressive award season, which saw him win the Best Actor gong at the Oscars on Sunday.

Academy Award nominees Keira Knightley, Felicity Jones and Rosamund Pike who were nominated for their roles in THE IMITATION GAME, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING and GONE GIRL respectively are joined by Emily Blunt for EDGE OF TOMORROW) and Alicia Vikander  for EX-MACHNA in the Best Actress category.

The directors of INTERSTELLAR and BOYHOOD, Christopher Nolan and Richard Linklater are on the Best Director shortlist opposite Peter Jackson, Morten Tyldum and Matt Reeves.

James Nesbitt will once again be back on stage to host the 2015 Jameson Empire Awards, which take place on Sunday, March 29 in London.
