The cast of INDEPENENCE DAY 2 has expanded even more after THR reports state that NYMPHOMANIAC star Charlotte Gainsbourg is in talks to join the sci-fi action flick.
Gainsbourg has appeared in three of Danish director Lars von Trier’s films; ANTICHRIST, MELANCHOLIA, and NYMPHOMANIAC, but may be known more for her roles in 21 GRAMS and THE SCIENCE OF SLEEP.
Being part of INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 may be a very different role to what we are use to seeing her in, but nonetheless, it should be a lot of fun for her too when zapping aliens!Â
Charlotte Gainsbourg will be joined on the big screen by Jessie User, who will star in the film as the step-son of Will Smith‘s character. As we reported Jeff Goldblum and Liam Hemsworth are also confirmed for the sequel, which will have Roland Emmerich back in the director’s chair.
Filming is set for production this summer with INDEPENDENCE DAY 2 slated for release on June 24th, 2016.
