Focusing on the early life of Abraham Lincoln, this film looks utterly sublime and beautifully shot.Â
Starring Jason Clark (Lawless), Dianne Kruger (Inglorious Basterds), new comer Braydon Denney and Brit Marling (The East), The Better Angels see’s young Abe grow up in the ferocious wilderness of Indiana and the hardships and tragedies he faced throughout his childhood.Â
I love this style of film making, just from the trailer it looks as glorious as it does haunting.Â
The Better Angels opens in limited release November 7th.
