As we wave goodbye to 2018 and the year of brilliant films it brought us, we are already looking towards the mass of movies waiting to hit the big screen in 2019 and we can’t wait! There are so many new blockbusters to look forward to this year and here at Film and TV Now, we have collated a list of the most anticipated films of 2019 in no particular order.

Avengers: End Game

How could we possibly collate a list of the most anticipated films of 2019 and not include this? Since Avengers: Infinity War (which was a box office smash in 2018), we have been desperately awaiting the new film to see the fate of the surviving Avengers and what they have in store against Thanos. Despite many of the cast members being killed off in the preceding film, are they all really dead? We’re looking at you, Loki! All we can say is, ROLL ON APRIL!

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

A faded TV actor and his stunt double embark on an odyssey to make a name for themselves in the film industry during the Helter Skelter reign of terror in 1969 Los Angeles. This film boasts a stellar cast consisting of Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie. We love the hippie-era theme scenes going on in LA and can’t wait to see more from this one!

Frozen 2

Frozen 2

From the sneaky new images that seem to have appeared, it seems the sister, Ana and Elsa do look a little older than the last time we saw them. It seems like it has been ages since the original came out after Frozen first hit our screens in 2013. The full details of the plot still remain a mystery, but what we do know is the original cast, which includes Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, will all be back, singing new songs and telling new jokes. There are even some new cast additions, which include Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown.

Little Women

The film stars Elisabeth Moss and Lupita Nyong’o.

Dumbo

When the trailer was released for Tim Burton’s skilful remastering of the animated film, Dumbo it caused quite the stir on social media and it is easy to see why. This will no doubt light up the box office, as this class childhood movie is reimagined in a live-action movie.  The tale of the unlucky elephant that was born with ears too big and was endlessly mocked by its peers will be enacted by a high-profile cast including Eva Green and Colin Farrell.

The Lion King

If you haven’t already seen the trailer for the live-action remake of The Lion King, then where on Earth have you been?!
