Universal Pictures has released the spectacular new IMAX trailer for upcoming movie EVEREST.
“Human beings are simply not meant to function at the cruising altitude of a 747… Everest is without doubt, the most dangerous place on Earth.” These are the chilling (pardon the pun!) words which open up the new trailer for the highly anticipated movie EVEREST.
Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, EVEREST documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.
The epic adventure stars Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Robin Wright, Michael Kelly, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, Emily Watson and Jake Gyllenhaal.
EVEREST is brought to the big screen by director Baltasar Kormákur (2 GUNS, CONTRABAND). The ambitious film was shot in a variety of stunning locations including Nepal on the foothills of Everest, the Italian Alps and at Cinecittà Studios in Rome and Pinewood Studios in the U.K.Â
It certainly looks it will be a film of gigantic proportions and has a diverse, solid cast on board the project. We have a feeling it will be quite an emotional journey which we are taken on during the expedition…
EVEREST will storm into UK cinemas September 18th.Â
