Russell Tovey, Alistair Petrie & Douglas Hodge Join Tom Hiddleston In ‘The Night Manager’

The cast of THE NIGHT MANAGER has just got a bit bigger as Russell Tovey and Alistair Petrie are the latest stars to join the BBC and AMC’s miniseries. 

Production is already underway for the show and has been for some time of the television adaptation of the classic John le Carré novel. British actor Tom Hiddleston plays an ex-soldier named Jonathan Pine, who is recruited for the British intelligence service by the mysterious Burr (Olivia Colman).

Jonathan Pine is sent to investigate an alliance between Washington DC, Whitehall and a major arms dealer by infiltrating weapons trader Richard Onslow Roper’s (Hugh Laurie) gang.

Russell Tovey is certainly no stranger to the BBC after starring in successful BBC 3 series BEING HUMAN and also on board the project is CRANFORD star Alistair Petrie and Douglas Hodge largely known for his role as Bartholomew Rusk in PENNY DREADFUL and will also feature in upcoming films DIANA and SERENA.

The series is being directed by Academy Award-winning film IN A BETTER WORLD’s Susanne Bier.

We still have a while to wait until we get to see this one, as The Night Manager is expected to premiere next year.
