JOHN WICK has been garnering a lot of positive attention of late and to tempt our fancy until the film’s release in April, Warner Bros have released a brand new UK one-sheet for the action thriller.
Things are definitely on the up for Keanu Reeves, after his latest blockbuster JOHN WICK has started generating some early positive buzz as the actor gets another opportunity to flex more than just his muscles and furrowed brow.
Reeves plays the eponymous anti-hero – a retired hit man who is trying to leave his old life behind him, but his old life has other ideas, after being forced back into action by a brutal Russian mob.
Wick’s wife has just died and all she has left him is the world’s cutest beagle puppy, Daisy.
When a foolish young mobster (a sadistic thug called Iosef Tarasov) played by Game of Thrones’ Alfie Allen, attack Wick and offs poor Daisy, he sets in motion an explosive and deadly chain of events and our enraged hero wreaks a terrible revenge. Unwittingly, they have just reawakened one of the most brutal assassins the underworld has ever seen.
The film also stars Ian McShane, Willem Defoe, Adrianne Palicki, John Leguizmo and Bridget Moynahan.
The action thriller may just put Reeves back on the action hero map…
