Fans flocked to Twitter to advocate for BROOKLYN NINE NINE after FOX cancelled the sitcom after five seasons. But I bring you “noice” news on this Saturday morning – while Hulu and Netflix passed on the opportunity, NBC has picked up the show for a sixth season!

Melissa Numero who plays Amy Santiago echoed Goor’s sentiment that viewers helped the sitcom’s revival, tweeting “You did this!! You got loud and you were heard and you saved our show!! Thank you!! Thank you to NBC!! NINE NINE!!!!!”
NBC’s Entertainment chairman, Robert Greenblatt said: “Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home,” He added, “Mike Schur, Dan Goor and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest and best-cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy lineup. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”
