Another day and another role to add to Wahlberg’s growing list of film commitments.

With THE GAMBLER, TED 2 and DADDY’S HOME all in the pipeline, it’s not been a bad run for TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION star, Mark Wahlberg, and now it looks like he’s got another role in the works, as THE SIX BILLION DOLLAR MAN.Â
COLLATERALÂ and LONE SURVIVORÂ director, Peter Berg is set to helm the big-screen adaption of the original TV series, starring Lee Majors.Â
The original series ran from 1974-1978 and told the story of a test pilot, whose body is rebuilt with nuclear powered limbs and implants. With these extra tech-advances, he begins working for a specialised, unique special forces agent.Â
The title has obviously been bumped up to Billion from Million, leading us to believe that Wahlberg’s character, Steve Austin, will be even more technologically advanced!Â
Filming is expected to begin early next year, with a 2016 release date in mind.Â
