Jessica Chastain will be joining Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron in the SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN’s sequel, simply known as THE HUNTSMAN.
The plot of the story has remained under tight wrap, but it is believed that it will be a prequel to the Snow White story, revolving around how the fates of the Huntsman Eric (Hemsworth) and Queen Ravenna (Theron) collided before they met Snow White and details of 37-year-old Jessica’s role in the Universal picture are not known yet.
SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN came out in 2012, with Charlize Theron playing Ravenna, a role which she will reprise in THE HUNTSMAN and with Emily Blunt also in the cast to take on a villainous part, the film seems to be getting better and better.
The first film, SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN, was released in 2012 and starred Kristen Stewart, which was directed by Rupert Sanders, but Stewart will not be reprising her role as Snow White and in this film Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will be in the director’s chair. Cedric earned a Visual Effects Oscar nomination for his work on the first film, and this will be his feature directorial debut.
THE HUNTSMAN is scheduled to hit cinemas on April 22nd, 2016.
