This is based on the autobiography of Alan McGee, ‘Riots, Raves and Running a Record Label: The Story of Creation Records’

One of the greatest independent record labels of all time, Creation Records was responsible for nurturing many of the greatest British pop bands of all time. Founded in 1983 by Alan McGee, Dick Green and Joe Foster, for sixteen years it focused on Alternate Rock and helped the likes of Oasis, The Jesus and Mary Chain, The Boo Radleys, Silver Fish and Teenage Fanclub, amongst others.

The upcoming film will certainly be one that will fit the bill that has defined many classic British movie biopics, which are currently riding the crest of a wave on the successful release of BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY and the current acclaimed Elton John bio-pic ROCKETMAN.

The story has been covered to some degree in the documentary UPSIDE DOWN:

However, this is a chance to get some of that Mancunian swagger on your Acting CV and a chance to mix with some of the best Film-making talent in front of and behind the camera working in British Cinema today.

Confirmed members of the cast include Rupert Everett, Jason Flemyng, Suki Waterhouse and Ewen Bremner, from Boyle’s 1990s classic TRAINSPOTTING amongst others, who will be playing Alan McGee.
