Fifty Shades of Grey

Over the last few weeks we have been inundated with exclusive clips, brand new trailers and images from the must-see film of the moment, FIFTY SHADES OF GREY and before the film even hits the big screen, we already have confirmation that the sequels WILL go ahead.

The director of FIFTY SHADES OF GREY has announced that two sequels, based on E.L James‘ follow up novels ‘Fifty Shades Darker‘ and ‘Fifty Shades Freed‘, are coming to cinemas.

MTV reports that British filmmaker Sam Taylor-Johnson revealed to a very excited audience at the film’s first fan screening in New York that two sequels are currently in the works although as of yet, there is no information as to when they will be released.

This is exciting news for fans of the books and their cast in the first film, starring Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan who can be seen as the infamous Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey this friday as the first film from the erotic thriller trilogy hits the big screen.

It still remains to be seen whether the stars Johnson and Dornan will reprise their roles in both sequels, but you can expect their deals to have included a retainer for further installments, based on the first film’s performance.

We doubt there will be any change in the director’s seat as Sam Taylor-Johnson announced the news herself, so it is likely the British director will remain on board the franchise in some capacity as a producer or director.

FIFTY SHADES OF GREY arrives in cinemas on Friday February 13th.
