Dean Cain and Helen Slater Join Supergirl Pilot

For those of you who are old enough to remember the film SUPERGIRL and the TV series LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN, you may recognise the faces of Dean Cain and Helen Slater above and once again, they will be attached to their ‘Super’ roles in the new SUPERGIRL pilot.  

Back in 1984, Slater starred as Kara, the titular heroine, in the SUPERGIRL movie, but she will not be reprising her role in the TV pilot as this character, as that role will be played by Melissa Benoist. Cain took on the role of Clark Kent in the popular series back in the 90s in LOIS & CLARK: THE NEW ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN. 

However, according to TVLine, the duo will not be taking on their original roles, but no details have emerged as to who they will play. Cain and Slater will be starring alongside confirmed cast members Laura Benanti, Chyler Leigh, David Harewood, Calista Flockhart and Mehcad Brooks .
