“If you could walk in another man’s shoes… whose shoes would you choose?” Oooh that is an interesting question in the trailer for upcoming comedy, THE COBBLER.
We could definitely think of a few people we would like to be for a day to way their walk their walk and talk their talk and that is exactly what Adam Sandler is up to in his new movie.
Sandler plays Max Simpkins, the eponymous cobbler, who discovers a magical sewing machine that gives him the power to live someone else’s life when he wears their shoes. When Max slips on his customers’ shoes, he assumes their appearance… while retaining his own personality.
The casting is quite a differing mixture, with ‘Downton Abbey’ star Dan Stevens playing one of the cobbler’s “victims”, as does Wu Tang Clan’s Cliff “Method Man” Smith. Also on board is Steve Buscemi, who plays one of Max’s closest friends who starts to notice strange things afoot and Dustin Hoffman appears as the man who could unlock the secret of the magic shoes.
THE COBBLER is walking onto the big screen on May 22nd.
