When Sony lost their lead, Leonardo DiCaprio, for the Steve Jobs biopic, scripted by Aaron Sorkin, they were at a loss as to who would lead as the famous Apple Co-founder.

In walked The Dark Knight star, Christian Bale, there own knight in shining armour, ready to take on the role and no doubt, smash it. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be and Sony are once again left without a lead, as it’s been reported that Bale has officially left the project.

According to THR, Bale has decided to leave the project, as he felt he just wasn’t right for the role. A conclusion that came after “after much deliberation and conflicting feelings”.

It is also believed that the person playing Steve Jobs is expected to be in every single frame of the film – and that is quite a demanding task!

The film is apparently going to be set into three different parts, all depicting a time where a major Apple product was launched. Both Sorkin and director Danny Boyle were adamant that Bale was the best man for the job. Apparently not.

It was only last week we reported that there were rumours that funny-man Seth Rogan would join as fellow Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak. As well as whispers that Jessica Chastain would be taking on a role also. What does this latest news mean for these fellow A-Lister’s?

Well, with Bale out, somebody’s got to take his place. My favourite? Stanley Tucci.
