For those enjoying watching the second outing of AVENGERS: ENDGAME at the cinema with bonus deleted scenes, make the most of watching Chris Evans on the big screen, as his upcoming project INFINITE will be a non-starter for the Marvel action hero. Now, Mark Wahlberg is in talks to take on the role…

Chris Evans, largely known for playing the Marvel superhero Captain America, was on board the movie INFINITE from director Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY). The movie is being adapted from the 2009 novel The Reincarnationist Papers and it seems that Evans withdrawal is largely due to scheduling conflicts.

The actor is currently busy filming his series for Apple, DEFENDING JACOB, which means that he is no longer available to take oil the role. However, according to reports, it seems they already have a possible replacement for him – Mark Wahlberg. He’s no stranger to playing the hero in movies, so he could be a great choice should he sign on the dotted line. If Wahlberg boards the project, he’ll step into the role and kick off shooting in September.

The newly-titled INFINITE tells the story of near-immortal beings who are reincarnated over the centuries and are referred to as ‘The Infinite’ – hence the title of the movie. However, there’s an evil mastermind at work and the group must rely on a man suffering from schizophrenia, who may now be played by Mark Wahlberg, to defeat this villain.

The man may seem strange to people as his behaviour is disturbed due to vivid dreams, which turn out to be his memories from past lives. The challenge now is whether or not he can successfully use the dreams he has to give him the information he needs to get rid of the enemy.

It won’t be to long though until you get to see Chris Evans back on the big screen, as he has his next movie THE RED SEA DIVING RESORT in post-production. Meanwhile, you can next see Wahlberg in the crime drama WONDERLAND, which sees him reunite with director Peter Berg. The release date for the movie is yet to be confirmed.
