With THE IMITATION GAME hitting UK cinemas on Friday, the promotions are in full swing with the release of more exclusive clips from the film starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley.

StudioCanal have already revealed clips where we see Alan Turing (Cumberbatch) being interviewed by Charles Dance about cracking the code and in the new clip entitled “Christopher,” we see the genius that is Turing explain his theory behind pioneering modern-day computers to fellow code-breaker Joan Clarke (Knightley) and identify who ‘Christopher’ is.

In the second clip, Alan Turing is interrogated about his role during the World War II and breaking the Enigma code at Bletchley Park, as he explains how “…machines can’t think as people do, they are different.”

To complete THE IMITATION GAME ensemble are Matthew Goode, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Charles Dance, Allen Leech and Matthew Beard.

THE IMITATION GAME won best film at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is one of the the most talked about films at the moment with lots of Oscar buzz surrounding it already.

Morten Tyldum’s movie offers a dramatic portrayal of the life and work of Alan Turing, one of Britain’s most extraordinary unsung heroes, and one of the world’s greatest innovators.

The pioneer of modern-day computing, Alan Turing is credited with cracking the German Enigma code and the film is a “nail-biting race against time by Turing and his brilliant team at Britain’s top-secret code-breaking centre, Bletchley Park, during the darkest days of World War II.” Turing, whose contributions and genius significantly shortened the war, saving thousands of lives, was the eventual victim of an unenlightened British Establishment, but his work and legacy live on. Norwegian filmmaker Morten Tyldum (Headhunters) is directing from a screenplay by Graham Moore, based on the book “Alan Turing: The Enigma” by Andrew Hodges.

Here is the trailer for the enticing and emotional film:

THE IMITATION GAME is set for release November 14th in the UK and November 21st in the US.
