When news broke of a BAYWATCH movie we all rejoiced when Zac Efron joined the cast, because if there’s anyone you’d want running/swimming towards you in tight red shorts, it’d be Zac Efron.

As the first day of filming begins, photos have surfaced from the set with even Efron and his co-star Dwayne Johnson treating us to a picture or two, including the cast (Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra and Hannibal Buress) seated at a script read-through.
Produced by Johnson alongside Michael Berk, Greg Bonann, Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia, Ivan Reitman and Douglas Schwartz, Baywatch offers a big-screen take on the television series that originally premiered in 1989. Although several writers have been attached to the movie, the most recent draft hails from Damian Shannon and Mark Swift (FRIDAY THE 13TH), with Seth Gordan (HORRIBLE BOSSES, IDENTITY THIEF) in the director’s chair.
