If you enjoyed WORLD WAR Z, you will certainly enjoy reading this next bit of news – the sequel has been given the green light with the next instalment due for a 2017 release.
The popular WORLD WAR ZÂ stars Brad Pitt and was directed by Marc Forster (who also helmed QUANTUM OF SOLACE). The movie stormed into the box office racking up a staggering $540 million worldwide.Â
Juan Antonio Bayona will be in the director’s chair for the sequel as Pitt reprises his role as Gerry.
There will also be a new person on board penning the script as Stephen Knight (LOCKE) has been named as the man taking over from Matthew Michael Carahan, Drew Goddard and Damon Lindelof.
The title for the film is yet to be confirmed, but it is believed to be based around the book by acclaimed zombie author Max Brooks.Â
