Michael Keaton Skull Island

There is certainly a lot of award buzz floating around Michael Keaton at the moment, so it is only natural to see what project will be his next choice after the recent success of critically-acclaimed BIRDMAN and it appears the actor may be heading to SKULL ISLAND…

It appears now that the American is looking at an entirely different role from his comedy-drama performance as Riggin in BIRDMAN to a big action adventure alongside Tom Hiddleston.

Hiddleston is already set for centre stage in the film playing an adventurer who journeys to the titular place in search of unexplored territory, mysterious creatures and no doubt a whole load of trouble which goes hand-in-hand with adventures such as these. J.K. Simmons has also signed on for a part and it appears that Keaton will now join forces with the duo too.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts is the man in the director’s chair for this movie in charge of bringing to life John Gatins‘ script, which is based in turn on initial drafts by Godzilla’s Max Borenstein.

With Keaton on board joining Hiddleston and Simmons, no doubt their involvement is already putting the film in good stead and we’re looking forward to hearing more about the film as plans develop…
