Samba

Directors Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano have reteamed with their INTOUCHABLES breakout star Omar Sy for the upcoming French film SAMBA and you can take a look at the trailer for the film below.

Their highly-anticipated follow-up to the $426M-grossing 2012 sensation will arrive in UK cinemas in May and there are high hopes that the film will be as equally successful.

Sy plays the eponymous character who migrated to France from Senegal 10 years prior. Ever since, he’s been plugging away at various low-paying jobs and trying to secure proper work papers. Charlotte Gainsbourg plays Alice, a burnt-out exec who’s trying to get her life back on track.  Fate ultimately draws them together on a new path to happiness. Tahar Rahim also stars.

Sy has been doing well in both Hollywood and French projects since appearing in INTOUCHABLES. He has starred in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST and appeared in Michel Gondry’s MOOD INDIGO.

He can also been seen in the upcoming flick JURASSIC WORLD.

SAMBA arrives in UK cinemas May 1st. Here’s the trailer for the film below:
