Universal Pictures has released the teaser trailer for the upcoming movie, RESPECT. The movie tells the story of the life of legendary icon, Aretha Franklin. Check out the footage in the video player below:
Following the rise of Aretha Franklin’s career from a child singing in her father’s church’s choir to her international superstardom, RESPECT is the remarkable true story of the music icon’s journey to find her voice.
The movie boasts a superb cast with Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Marlon Wayans, Audra McDonald, Marc Maron, Tituss Burgess, Saycon Sengbloh, Hailey Kilgore, Tate Donovan, Heather Headley, Skye Dakota Turner, and Mary J. Blige all starring in the movie. Could the casting be anymore perfect than Academy award winner Jennifer Hudson portraying Aretha Franklin? We think not too!
