On Wednesday the cast and crew of upcoming disaster movie EVEREST arrived in style for the Venice International Film Festival.

Under the sizzling sun in Venice, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Emily Watson and the film’s director Baltasar Kormákur rocked up to the event on boats ahead of the premiere of the film.

Many excited fans lined the red carpet in their droves for a chance to meet the stars and pose for the all-important selfies with the cast and creators. It was a busy couple of hours where they posed for pictures and signed autographs with the waiting fans.

To celebrate the release of EVEREST, the group also took part in a press conference with the eager awaiting media to talk about the film and their experiences.

Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, EVEREST documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival.

Take a look at the sizzle reel above from their EVEREST promotions.

EVEREST will storm into UK cinemas September 18th.
