Helen Mirren is in battle in the EYE IN THE SKY trailer
A new trailer has been released for upcoming thriller, EYE IN THE SKY starring Academy Award winner Helen Mirren (THE QUEEN) and Aaron Paul (BREAKING BAD), which you can watch in the video player above.
Bleecker Street’s EYE IN THE SKY stars Helen Mirren as Colonel Katherine Powell, a UK-based military officer in command of a top secret drone operation to capture terrorists in Kenya. The carefully planned mission suddenly escalates from a “capture” to a “kill” operation when Madden realizes that the terrorists are about to embark on a deadly suicide mission, which would result in the catastrophic deaths of many innocent civilians. Meanwhile American drone pilot Steve Watts (Aaron Paul) is poised to destroy the safe-house when a nine year old girl enters the kill zone just outside the walls of the targeted house.
With unforeseen collateral damage now entering the equation and with the volatility of the situation increasing with every second that passes, Madden must now pass the mission’s authority up the “kill chain” to politicians and lawyers, including British Foreign secretary James Willett, who must weigh both the legality and morality of action and inaction.
The movie also stars Alan Rickman (the “Harry Potter” franchise), Barkhad Abdi (Captain Phillips), Jeremy Northam (“The Tudors”), Iain Glen (“Game of Thrones”) and Phoebe Fox (The Woman in Black: Angel of Death).
The film is helmed by Gavin Hood (Tsotsi, Ender’s Game) and written by Guy Hibbert (“Prime Suspect”) with Ged Doherty, Colin Firth and David Lancaster on producer duties.
EYE IN THE SKY is scheduled for select release March 11th, 2016 in select cinemas.
