The Revenant

Stars of THE REVENANT discuss making the movie in a brand new featurette.

The release of THE REVENANT is drawing ever closer and now to tease us even more, Twentieth Century Fox has released four brand new featurettes for the film which stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy.

In the ‘Shouldn’t be alive’ featurettes, the videos contain a series of jaw-dropping featurettes, which look at some incredible stories of survival against the odds.

The Brotherhood of Trappers‘  featurette, takes a look behind the scenes of the film and hear insights from Leonardo DiCaprio, Domhnall Gleeson, Will Poulter and director, Alejandro G. Iñárritu.

You can take a look at the videos in the players below:

THE REVENANT is based in the 1820s and follows a frontiersman, Hugh Glass (DiCaprio), who sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling. In a quest to survive, Glass endures unimaginable grief as well as the betrayal of his confidant John Fitzgerald (Hardy). Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass must navigate a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.

Already the film is getting major Oscar buzz and particularly for DiCaprio for his role in the movie. We’re not surprised, as the film looks visually stunning and after stories coming out about the difficult filming conditions the cast ensured, can we please throw them an Oscar now?!

Will the dynamic duo be scooping any awards for the film during the awards season? We have a sneaky feeling they may just do that…

If you have been hiding under a rock and not yet seen the trailer for the film yet, then feast your eyes on Iñárritu’s visual splendour below:

THE REVENANT lands in cinemas January 15th, 2015.
