According to THR Ang Lee‘s next film which is an adaptation of the Iraq War novel “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” by Ben Fountain, may have just found some its cast members.Â
Vin Diesel and Chris Tucker are reportedly in talks for roles in the film and it sounds like it could be a very interesting combination. No specific plot details have been released from the film, but here is the synopsis from BILLY LYNN’S LONG HALFTIME WALK book:
“A razor-sharp satire set in Texas during America’s war in Iraq, it explores the gaping national disconnect between the war at home and the war abroad. Ben Fountain’s remarkable debut novel follows the surviving members of the heroic Bravo Squad through one exhausting stop in their media-intensive “Victory Tour” at Texas Stadium, football mecca of the Dallas Cowboys, their fans, promoters, and cheerleaders.”
It won’t be long until the cameras are rolling, with production set to get underway on Simon Beaufoy‘s screenplay next month.Â
