In their second collaboration since 2005s MR. AND MRS. SMITH, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt couple up again in BY THE SEA.
Set in France during the 1970s, the drama described as “an art film” stars Jolie as Vanessa, a former dancer, and Pitt as Roland, a writer. In a last ditch attempt to save their marriage the couple take a vacation, but encounters with young newlyweds (Mélanie Laurent and Melvil Poupaud) and village locals (Niels Arestrup and Richard Bohringer) further tests their relationship.
Written and directed by Jolie, the film is the first to credit the actress as “Angelina Jolie Pitt”. It’s reported that production took place during the couple’s honeymoon last year.
BY THE SEA is scheduled to be released on November 13, 2015. Watch the trailer below.
