Tom Hiddleston adds another film credit to his growing list by signing on for Skull Island.

Tom Hiddleston
Tom Hiddleston is set to star in Legendary’s Skull island.

It was revealed that Legendary planned to make a feature film based on the cinematic origins of King Kong during this year’s San Diego Comic Con with an original draft of the script by Max Borenstein and now it seems the wheels are in motion after revealing that Tom Hiddleston has been cast in the movie and Jordan Vogt-Roberts is set to direct.

Hiddleston will no doubt prove to be a popular addition to the cast and already has an impressive list of credits to his name including MIDNIGHT IN PARIS, ONLY LOVERS LEFT ALIVE, WAR HORSE and of course, he is most well known for portraying Thor’s nemesis and brother, Loki, in Marvel’s THOR,  THE AVENGERS and THOR: THE DARK WORLD.

The Brit has been a very busy man of late after recently wrapping on Legendary’s gothic horror CRIMSON PEAK from director Guillermo del Toro and Ben Wheatley’s adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s HIGH-RISE.  The 33-year-old is currently working on Marc Abraham’s Hank Williams biopic I SAW THE LIGHT.

Vogt-Roberts directed and executive produced the Sundance darling THE KINGS OF SUMMER and the pilot and multiple episodes of FX’s new series “You’re the Worst.”

Universal Pictures will distribute the film on November 4th, 2016.

So, it is a case of another day and another film for Mr. Hiddleston.  What are your thoughts on his new movie credit?
