Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy was a man in high demand on Sunday night with invites to the British Independent Film Awards and a special screening of his new film THE REVENANT.

He may be good at playing a double act in his recent film LEGEND, in which he played both Ronnie and Reggie Kray, but in real life, the British actor could only be in one place at once so he opted to join his co-star Leonardo DiCaprio for the BAFTA screening of their movie in London’s Leicester Square.

It must have been a difficult choice for Hardy who was nominated for the coveted Best Actor award at the Moet British Independent Film Awards two miles away in the City of London – where he ended up winning the big prize. – You can read all of the information about the big winners here.

With Hardy busy in the West End at the screening, it was up to his THE REVENANT co-star Domhnall Gleeson to accept it on his behalf.

The Revenant

THE REVENANT is based in the 1820s and follows a frontiersman, Hugh Glass, who sets out on a path of vengeance against those who left him for dead after a bear mauling.

Already the film is getting major Oscar buzz and particularly DiCaprio for his role in the movie.

THE REVENANT

Will the dynamic duo be scooping any awards for the film during the awards season? We have a sneaky feeling they may just do that…

THE REVENANT lands in cinemas January 15th, 2015.
