Twentieth Century Fox has confirmed The King’s Man, the highly anticipated prequel to Matthew Vaughn’s hit Kingsman franchise, will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 18th September 2020. If you haven’t yet seen the trailer for the movie, then feast your eyes on the footage in the video player below:

As a collection of history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds gather to plot a war to wipe out millions, one man must race against time to stop them. Discover the origins of the very first independent intelligence agency in THE KING’S MAN.

The movie, which is a prequel to the popular Kingsman movie, is based on the Comic Book “The Secret Service” by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. As the film is a prequel, the well known characters from KINGSMAN will not feature in this one, which means no Taron Egerton in this film and it seems no Colin Firth and Mark Strong either.

We just love the casting for this movie, there’s so much talent involved. The film stars Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Rhys Ifans, Matthew Goode, Tom Hollander, Harris Dickinson, Daniel Brühl, with Djimon Hounsou, and Charles Dance.

In the director’s chair for this one is Matthew Vaughn who is on double duties as he has also produced the film alongside David Reid, and Adam Bohling.
