The renamed movie is the final installment from The Hobbit trilogy and is the one which we are looking forward to the most.   With big battles aplenty, roaring dragons, and emotional death scenes expected, hot on the heels ahead of San Diego Comic Con, the new poster for the movie has been released.  The still is from the film featuring a very angry Smaug (Benedict Cumberbatch) looking down upon a small but mighty Bard the Bowman (Luke Evans).

The second film left us dangling eagerly in the clutches of Smaug who was heading to Lake Town to destroy the city and people.  In the new movie, released in December, expect a big, fiery battle – one where Luke Evan’s Bard the Bowman is hoping he will come up trumps and save the day with his arrow.

The Battle Of The Five Armies will commence with all of the favourite characters battling for victory, gold, their home and of course their lives.  Goblins galore, dwarf heroes, elven kings, might men and of course a deadly dragon will all do battle.  The dwarves led by King Under the Mountain, Thorin (Richard Armitage), are looking to reclaim their homeland at Erebor (the Lonely Mountain) and take back their stolen treasure from Smaug.

THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES will hit cinemas on December 12th, 2014, with its usual stellar cast: Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch (as both Necromancer and Smaug), Richard Armitage, Orlando Bloom, Lee Pace, Evangeline Lilly, Aidan Turner, James Nesbitt and many more.
