The release date has been confirmed for Howard J Ford’s upcoming movie, ADVENTURE BOYZ, which is scheduled for release in select cinemas this July.
In the grand tradition of classic children’s television of the 1970s like THE DOUBLE DECKERS and long-gone but never forgotten work of the Children’s Film Foundation, coupled with 1980s classics BMX BANDITS, which helped launch the career of Nicole Kidman and THE GOONIES, comes Howard J Ford‘s brand-new heartwarming tale of rural adventure in Eastbourne, ADVENTURE BOYZ.Â
Two kid brothers (played by the director’s own children) discover some recently stolen diamonds on a jaunt in their locality, setting in motion a chain of events that could affect not only their lives, but also their father, a speedway-mad enthusiast out to ride again, estranged from their mother…
Adventure Boyz is Howard’s 6th feature film, following on from the multi award-winning thriller Never Let Go (Sony Pictures/Netflix), and a global success in horror with The Dead 1 and 2, Adventure Boyz is his first family film.Â
ADVENTURE BOYZ is scheduled for an initial theatrical release in July 2019 and is another triumph of independent cinema, which fuses the aforementioned elements, but which also has a touch of HOME ALONE.
The film also attempts to communicate the message that there is life beyond the digital screen and information superhighway – and to get children out of their armchairs away from the world of Freeview and Sky Sports.
