Channel 4 has just released the first image from upcoming TV series, HUMANS featuring Gemma Chan.
HUMANS is a new co-production with US network AMC and SPOOKS producers Kudos. In the photo, we get the first glimpse of Chan who plays a “synth” called Anita.
The eight-part series is set in an alternative present, where robotic servants known as “synths” are a must-have accessory. In the show, one family gets more than they bargained for when they buy a machine, and find out that inviting one home has “far-reaching and chilling consequences”.
Alongside Chan, there is a brilliant casting ensemble consisting of Oscar-winner William Hurt, THE IT CROWD’S Katherine Parkinson, MERLIN’s Colin Morgan and Rebecca Front.
