We don’t have long to wait until we see the cast for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE assemble in Hall H next Saturday for San Diego Comic-Con, but for now we are quite happy to occupy ourselves with the new photos which have been released by Warner Bros. Pictures (via EW).
The first official BATMAN V SUPERMAN photos give us a small insight into what to expect from the battle between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight.
Zack Snyder’s dark sequel, sees Henry Cavill‘s Superman in action and of course Ben Affleck makes his debut as Batman (you can watch the trailer below).
“We accept that he’s played by actors with different interpretations,” Affleck tells EW of the caped crusader, calling him the American version of Hamlet. Affleck went on to describe his version of the character, saying: “He’s at the end of his run and maybe the end of his life. There’s this sort of world-weariness to it…He’s on the verge of being swallowed up by the anger and the rage that we see haunt this character in the other manifestations of it, but this guy is further down the line and has become more embittered and cynical.”
In another photo, we get to see Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) all bruced up – sorry, we mean spruced up – trying to entice Bruce Wayne. It doesn’t look like she has much of a fight on her hands with this one…
The film, based on the DC Comics characters also stars Jesse Eisenberg as seen above taking on the role of the villain Lex Luthor, who is sporting rather long hair in the photo (we doubt that lasts for long).
Jeremy Irons is also on board as Wayne’s butler Alfred and Jason Momoa as Aquaman.
BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE hits cinemas March 25th, 2016.
