It has been announced by Fox that the November 15th Paris premiere of Steven Spielberg’s Cold War drama-thriller BRIDGE OF SPIES in the wake of Friday’s horrendous attacks on Paris.
The director of the film, Spielberg, was reportedly on his way from Berlin to Paris when the tragedy struck. He attended was in the German capital for the premiere of BRIDGE OF SPIES starring Tom Hanks as real-life lawyer James B. Donovan, who helped negotiate the release of Francis Gary Powers, the pilot of the U-2 spy plane shot down by the Russians.
Fox released the following statement shortly after the tragic events unfolded:
“In light of the tragedy in Paris, we have canceled our scheduled film events. Further, we stand with the people of Paris and our thoughts go out to all those affected by these horrible events.”
There has been no information released at this time about the rescheduling of the BRIDGE OF SPIES premiere in Paris.
