Star Wars

Big news for STAR WARS fans, the world premiere date and location has been revealed for THE FORCE AWAKENS…

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Disney and Lucasfilm will unveil STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS at a massive world premiere in Los Angeles on December 14th.

Of course, further promotions will happen across the globe with the highly-anticipated film having its European premiere in London, followed by other events around the world.

The Los Angeles premiere is sure to be one of the hottest tickets in recent Hollywood history, with executives, agents and journalists jockeying for a coveted invite. With so much hype and expectation surrounding the film, the media world will all be vying for access to the premiere in Los Angeles, which is set to be one of the biggest premieres of the year and with minimal screenings for press and cast and crew in advance of the premiere, a lucky few will have the chance to see it first.

While members of the cast of the J.J. Abrams-helmed film have appeared at Comic-Con the world premiere also is likely to be the first time that most or all of the cast will be seen together. There has been no confirmation as to who will be in attendance and hitting the red carpet, but with such a large cast varying between newcomers and veterans, they will almost certainly be desperate to be at the event.

Original STAR WARS stars Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew are returning for the new film.

John Boyega, Daisy Ridley and Oscar Isaac play the three main protagonists, with Domhnall Gleeson, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christie, Max von Sydow and Lupita Nyong’o also starring.

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS will arrive in cinemas December 17th in the U.K. and December 16th in France, prior to its wide debut in the U.S. on December 18th.
