For months there was so much speculation about Jake Gyllenhaal’s involvement with the film and whether he would be playing the villain, well now we know a little bit more about his character and just how excited the actor is about his role. He took to social media to showcase the teaser trailer along with the release date of the movie.

Joining him in the movie is of course Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland who is reprising his role as the titular character. The movie boasts a stellar cast with Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon, Martin Starr and Marisa Tomei all starring in the movie.

The film is being brought to the big screen by Jon Watts and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us. It’s just another reason to be excited for the summer!

Jake Gyllenhaal can next be seen in the movie VELVET BUZZSHAW which arrives on Netflix February 1st.
