The first Jordanian film to be selected as a North American Premiere in the Tribeca Film Festival, TOUCHLINE is award-winning Palestinian American Director Mohammed Saffouri’s new short film, which is based on his grandfather’s life back when young in 1948. Tribeca Film Festival is TOUCHLINE’s North America Premiere.

Newcomer Basil Aksar plays Ahmad, a Haifa native teenage boy who plays soccer regularly and gets an opportunity to play for the Palestinian National Team when he is spotted by a local scout and proves his worth. However, at the moment he is about to celebrate his success, local social and political conflicts intervene…..

Saffouri’s touching coming-of-age tale taps into the trauma of a community in crisis, whilst focusing on the importance of love and passion in your life. Heartbreaking but involving.
