With everything that has gone on in the UK over the last half decade with Brexit, the Windrush scandal, Black Lives Matter and the recent global challenges, coupled with the vaccine roll-out, the political world remains a volatile yardstick for how change occurs all the time.

In Jay Martin’s factual documentary short RED T’BLUE, we focus on the end of an era, as the Northern English town of Mansfield became a Conservative hold after decades of Red Labour rule and how the whole town was affected by the results.

Celebrating the locality and the potential for the future, Martin’s brilliant and insightful work establishes the essence of what it means to be politically supportive in a local community seemingly neglected by those in the South.
