Pride and prejudice take a back seat to discomforting choices for a group of high society debutantes in Nicole Sarah Fry‘s short comedy drama DESIRES & DELUSIONS.
Tinder in older days comes in the form of a romantic version of ‘Top Trumps’ via an agency called ‘Pandora’s Prospects’ as Georgiana Lacy (Yasmine Meaden), Clara Pembroke (Lottie Saul-Paterson) and Amelia Bartlett (Fry) mull over some artistic impressions of their ideal suitor. However, the promise of a rich and sensitive type comes calling in the form of Henry Archibald (David Stokes) whom Georgiana has taken a shine from his portrait. However, the rivers of love are going to be a challenge on this fine afternoon…
Fry handles this likeable compact period affair with energy and good vibes, backed up by great performances from herself and her other leads. Very much in the realm of classic British film-making with some gentle comedy well choreographed.

ABOUT NICOLE SARAH FRY:
Nicole Sarah Fry is a British director, actress, and writer raised in Dorset. Growing up, she loved all aspects of filmmaking and completed many Arts University Bournemouth short courses from garment making to special effects makeup and she also attended acting classes.
She has been on set as a stand-in and picture double on numerous occasions. In aid of discovering her true passion, she made costumes, acted, co-wrote and directed her first short film Desires & Delusions. After completing this project, it was clear that directing was her intended career path.
She has two other projects in the works that are in pre-production. Her current goal is to create a mini-series expanding on her first short film (Desires & Delusions)
