She's All That

We definitely seem to be going through a big phase of reboots, remakes and yet again, another film from the 90s will be redeveloped – SHE’S ALL THAT.

For those of you (like me) who remember watching this teen romantic comedy film when it first came out in 1999 starring Freddie Prinze Jr, Rachael Leigh Cook, Matthew Lillard, Paul Walker and Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, you will be pleased (or disgruntled) to know that it will be getting a 21st century remake according to TheWrap.

The film followed the story of high school jock Zack (Prinze Jr), who bets his friend Dean (Walker) that he can turn the dorky and unpopular Daney (Cook) into the prom queen. It is predictable, cute and a movie that will no doubt still do well in today’s box office. For those unfamiliar, it’s a real blend of MEAN GIRLS and DAWSON’S CREEK. (Take a look at the trailer below).

Kenny Leon will be directing the remake and hoping the movie will be as popular as the original directed by Robert Iscove – the movie made more than $100 million worldwide.

Are you excited to see a remake of the film? Who would you like to see cast in the roles? Leave your thoughts in the comment box below:
