Neighbors

Fans of Seth Rogen and the film NEIGHBORS will be pleased to hear that there is a sequel in the pipeline.

Universal is moving forward with NEIGHBORS 2 following on from its hugely successful comedy from last summer that will reunite cast members Rogen, Zac Efron, and Rose Byrne along with director Nicholas Stoller

The surprise hit, which cost only $18 million to make, earned an impressive $268 million worldwide and Universal will be hoping the sequel, set for a wide release May 13, 2016, will repeat the same success.

Andrew Jay Cohen and Brendan O’Brien were the masterminds behind the original script, which revolved around a couple (played by Rogen and Byrne) with a new baby who are forced to live next to a fraternity house and do whatever they can to take it down. Cohen and O’Brien are back for the sequel, which will have a female twist. This time a sorority moves in next door to the couple, who enlist their former nemeses from the fraternity to help battle the raucous sisters.

Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver who produced the controversial comedy THE INTERVIEW are set to reunite once again producing NEIGHBORS through their Point Grey Pictures.

Rogen is certainly a man in demand and is currently shooting the role of Steve Wozniak in Universal’s Steve Jobs biopic and looks set to be shooting NEIGHBORS 2 in the summer.
