Crimson Peak

We only have four months until Guillermo del Toro‘s CRIMSON PEAK lands in cinemas and to celebrate, four new character posters have arrived courtesy of Universal Pictures.

In the official poster above, we see Tom Hiddleston in all of his smouldering glory as Sir Thomas Sharpe and he is not alone as he is joined by fellow cast members with their first official posters.

Fellow co-star Jessica Chastain looks as equally beautiful in her poster. She plays Hiddleston’s sister Lady Lucille Sharpe.

Also posing in full character is another individual who lives in the haunted Crimson Peak mansion – Edith – played by Mia Wasikowska, who also happens to be married to Hiddleston’s Thomas Sharpe.

Who is missing from the cast collective? The lovely Charlie Hunham, that is who. He looks rather dashing as he is suited and booted in the role of Alan McMichael and all of these posters are just making us more and more excited about the release of the film.

Crimson Peak

Set in the early 1900s, CRIMSON PEAK revolves around an idealistic young author Edith (Mia Wasikowska) who’s torn between the love of two very different men: Trusted childhood friend Alan McMichael (PACIFIC RIM’s Charlie Hunnam) and intriguing outsider Sir Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston). The mysteriousness of the latter comes with the ominous presence of his sister Lady Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain). Edith’s choice unknowingly leads her into an actual house of horrors, one that breathes and bleeds.

As one may have already guessed, there are a few more residents in the house than the mere mortals already mentioned, but also it would seem that Sir Thomas and Lady Lucille have some sinister motive for bringing Edith into their home…

It looks passionate, scary and based on all that red, it seems as though it will end up being a rather gruesome and bloody affair.

CRIMSON PEAK will be lighting up cinemas October 16th, 2015.
